Hutchinson, KS– Interfaith Housing, Cancer Council of Reno County, and the Horizons Child Advocacy Center were recent beneficiaries of money earned from the Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System’s Jeans Friday initiative.
Employees at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Ray E. Dillon Living Center, Horizons Mental Health Center, Health-E-Quip, and Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County donate $10 each month for the privilege of wearing jeans on Fridays. The money is then donated to a different non-profit organization selected by system representatives.
“Our employees have embraced the opportunity to wear jeans in support of a greater cause. We’re proud of the fact that we’re able to offer a healthy donation to a local non-profit on behalf of our dedicated and giving employees,” said Kevin Miller, president and CEO of Hutchinson Regional.
With monthly gifts averaging $1,500, healthcare system employees are slated to give $18,000 in 2012.
