VH™IVUS

The Heart & Vascular Center at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center  was one of the first cardiovascular centers in the Midwest to acquire the IVUS system. While most facilities rarely identify the type of plaque present, we’ve made it routine. We believe it gives our physicians important tissue information enabling them to make the most informed decision for treatment.

The IVUS uses algorithms to produce color-coded images from ultrasound data. The images created help us identify where plaque is present and its composition.
